MEMORIAL DAY 2009

Memorial Day sales can get me to shop.
But always I take a moment to stop.
The money I spend doesn't cover the cost.
It's a price that was paid by the soldiers we lost.
 
Thanks to soldiers before me who gave up their lives,
My dollars have George and Abe on the fives,
Not Nazis or Taliban dealers in hate.
America's not perfect, but, by George, it is great.
