"D-DAY" (Normandy Landings)
by Donna F. Miller
June 6, 1944.
D-Day in a vicious war.
150,000+ troops upon the shore.
Normandy's beaches held them all.
Some to live and some to fall.
Each man answered duty's call.
We commemorate the awful fight
That soldiers fought with all their might
So freedom's torch could still burn bright.
D-Day was a powerful start.
Thank you troops who all took part.
America thanks you from the heart.
